Although the majority of course selection trends for the 2013-2014 school year remain the same, three programs in particular have received increased interest: the Media Arts Program, the AP Calculus AB course and the Introduction to Engineering and Science Research elective.

Senior prom. Some might call it the icing on the cake of senior year — others might call it the cake itself. It is the time of year senior girls get to play dress-up in beautiful evening gowns, while senior boys brainstorm creative ways to secure a date.

Artist Alexandra Conway grew up in Saratoga. Attending both Redwood Middle School and SHS, Conway graduated in 2006. Her passion for painting sparked during high school under the guidance of late art teacher, Steve McCue.

As the speech and debate season comes to a close, the team celebrated its successes at the state tournament in Burbank, Calif., which took place on April 19-21.

On April 6, family and friends filled the many seats stationed around a runway in the Large Gym to watch around 140 student models support a worthy cause. This year, the eighth annual Benefit Fashion Show raised money for the American Cancer Society in memory of longtime art teacher Steve McCue, who passed away from a rare form of lung cancer in early January at age 48.
