By noon on Saturday and Sunday, dozens of students working on their Homecoming decorations will be hungry. Thanks to the ASB, they’ll have many choices for lunch.

This year, the ASB is organizing for food trucks to be on campus during the decoration set up sessions on Sept. 28 and 29.

“It’s pretty cool and useful because a lot of kids have to walk to downtown to get some lunch,” sophomore Ai Asai said. “This makes things much easier for underclassmen.”

The event is being organized through Chow for Charity, an event coordinating and marketing organization that focuses on fundraising for nonprofit organizations through special events.

The event is being held to increase attendance to the Homecoming build day.

"We wanted to give everyone another incentive to come to the already awesome Homecoming set-up weekend in order to increase attendance from those who are on the fence about showing up, " ASB President senior Nikhil Goel said.

This is the first time the school is doing an event like this, and there is general excitement all around.

“I think people will definitely be more interested to help if there was food, and probably be more interested in Homecoming in general too,” freshman Apoorv Kwatra said. “Food is good.”
