On a sedentary day with not much to do, few things are better than the breathtaking scenery of a good view and a calm surrounding. On a sedentary day with not much to do, few things are better than the breathtaking scenery of a good view and a calm surrounding. One such place with these elements is Vista Point in San Francisco, which is a popular spot to go for a nice breezy experience and a fabulous view of the city and the Bay.
To reach the top and enjoy a panoramic view of the Bay Area, one must drive up Skyline, a road that slopes up to the top of the viewing area. Most people prefer to make the trek to the top with friends at night time for a truly glimmering perspective of the area below.
Senior Kip Ringsrud is one of the many people who has been to Vista Point.
“When you get to the top and see that view, it’s a pretty surreal experience,” Ringsrud said. “The view reminds me of where I live and how nice it is to be in such a great area.”
With all the stresses of school and sports, a little time off can be nice. Vista Point provides just the kind of stress reliever that students need every once in a while. While an hour-long drive to San Francisco may not seem worth the trip, one should definitely find time to visit the spot if they are in the area.
“A visit to Vista Point is a beautiful experience, and I think every student should consider going there at least once,” Ringsrud said.
