Spring Fling aims for more participation

With the annual Spring Fling week scheduled to occur from March 30 to April 3, plans for Spirit Week, Powderpuff and the Sadie Hawkins Dance are coming together.

With the annual Spring Fling week scheduled to occur from March 30 to April 3, plans for Spirit Week, Powderpuff and the Sadie Hawkins Dance are coming together.

The commissioners for Spring Fling include seniors Jane Park, Julianne Lao, Mihir Samdarshi, Amanda Le, Katelyn Moriarty, Madeline Ryan, junior Jenna Chen and sophomore Eileen Toh.

The commission is introducing new themes for the week and hopes to ignite creativity and include more participation. Although the Sadie Hawkins dance was cancelled last year because of projected low attendance, the commission hopes to draw sufficient numbers this year for it to take place.

The dance will occur on March 28, and the theme will be SHS Super Sadie’s.
